Webmaster's Corner: I found that energy corporations are against taxes on oil drilled off California coastline and several tobacco corporations are against taxes on tobacco. Imagine that! And they are not above using the big buzzwords like "new taxes" and "bad for our schools." Let's avoid the knee jerk reactions the big corporations are expecting. And remember not all "taxpayers" organizations are created equal. Big corporations and 'deep pockets' special interest contributors can call themselves taxpayers, too. My rules this year are: Send Arnold back to the movies; reward Feinstein, Angelides, Garamendi, and Bowen for their concern for citizens. Retire Maze and McKeon. Give Robert Rodriguez a chance to work for California families. Forget the attack ads; I'm looking at voting records and demanding personal integrity and experience. Never mind the expensive brochures, what does the League of Women Voters and other nonpartisan voter information organizations have to say about the impact of ballot initiatives and propositions? Be informed and VOTE on Nov 7th.
